Go Obey! We learned today about Peter and the apostles in Acts 5:16-29. They were imprisoned for teaching the people about Jesus. When the rulers told them not to continue to preach about Jesus, Peter said, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” The Bible teaches us to obey those in authority over us, but we must always obey what God says in the Bible. We had fun playing games and decorating back packs! One more day!

VBS 2014 Day 3

Good news! Good news! Jesus is alive! Studio Go! was all about telling everyone the good news that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins, and then He rose again on the third day. The ladies went to the tomb to put spices on His body, but when they arrived, the stone was rolled away and His body was gone! An angel came and told them, “He is not here, for He is risen as He said. Go quickly and tell His disciples!” (Matthew 28:1-8) The kids all took home Wordless Books so they could tell their friends the good news!

VBS 2014 Day 2

Day Two at Studio Go was a lot of fun! Today Queen Esther joined our crew. Once again, Coach Armstrong and Professor Wordsmart just couldn’t get any answers correct! We played “Let’s Make a Deal,” where the kids learned about our theme for the day, “Go Risk.” We learned about how Queen Esther took a risk (Esther 4:8-5:2) for God, and He took care of her and the Jewish people. Remember, “no matter who you are and what you know, God is with you wherever you go!”

Indiana baby

Fantastic Fridays Spring Semester 2014

Beginning in March, we hosted seven Fantastic Friday events this spring. We made a rocket launch, rockets, decorated pots and planted seeds, made cards, bird feeders, and played a ton of fun games! We learned about important Bible truths through unusual object lessons, and memorized a LOT of scripture! We ended the semester with a campout, which was a lot of fun! Congratulations to all our kids who earned patches for Rocket Launching, Camping, and Bible Memory!
