The Beacon September 2019

It was nice to have Hannah back for one week before she had to leave for her last year at Welch. She did an internship at Timothy Hill Christian Camp in Huntington, MA. Marcus Jimmeye, her boyfriend, came up for a visit, as well.

We celebrated our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on August 20!! We are thankful for God’s faithfulness to us through the years! 🙂

Sarah went down with Hannah and spent a week with Eric and Michaela hanging out and touring Nashville.

Our picnic at the park was rerouted to the church when we realized they had fenced off our chosen picnic area. We still had yummy food and a great time!

Our church now has three current Welch College students: Matthew Gedeon, Hannah, and now Anna Gedeon. Hannah and Anna get to be roommates this year, and they are super excited about it! 🙂 How much studying happens, well,  . . .

The Mission North America Offering is Sunday, November 24, 2019. Please consider promoting this special offering that supplies much needed funds to train, equip, enable, encourage, and fortify Church Planters across the continent. We’re so grateful for Free Will Baptist North American Ministries, and we hope your church can be a part of this nationwide offering this fall!

The youth group from New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Joelton, TN, came up to help us have an international themed VBS! They are pictured above. The kids had a blast learning about how God created all humans with the same DNA, He loves us all, Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of the whole world! More pictures and videos on facebook: #beaconchurchri_vbs2019 and the New Hope Student Ministries page. (Want to LOL? Watch this!) Special thanks to New Hope Student Ministries for a fantastic job!

It was great to see so many of you in Cincinnati at the National meeting!

Thank you so much for your prayers and words of comfort as we mourn the loss of our beautiful niece, Cassidy. We are so thankful for the twenty-three years God blessed us with her life. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family.

[2Pe 1:1-8 NKJV] 1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption [that is] in the world through lust. 5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, [you] will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The men’s fishing trip was a great time of fellowship for those who could attend. Everybody caught fish! 🙂 Everyone had a great time at Game Night, as well.

Please pray for our Vacation Bible School and New Hope Free Will Baptist Church Youth Group from Joelton, TN who is coming to help.

Psalm 23:1-6 NKJV – 1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

Church fellowship lunch and youth archery day was so perfect! Weather was wonderful, grill was fantastic, and the kids had a great time.
