Andy and Andrea Moore are transitioning from their ministry in Barbacena, Brazil, where they have worked in the Nova Cidade FWB Church. José Antônio will take the pastorate of the church in July 2006.The Moores will move to Lafiete, about 50 miles north of Barbacena, and serve in the fledgling church. Andy will continue his ministry of leadership training. The couple also hopes to strengthen the outreach to youth. About the mission work

A little about the Moore Family

  • Andy and Andrea became Christians as young children.
  • Andy did his 2-year internship after college at his home church, Pleasant Acres Free Will Baptist Church in New Bern, NC.
  • While attending Southeastern Bible College, Andrea ministered in various capacities at churches throughout North Carolina, including working in children’s church, storytelling for missions, and leading women’s Bible studies.
  • Both were appointed to serve in Brazil in 1999, and finally arrived there to begin language training in 2001.
  • Pray for more Brazilian young people to accept Christ as Savior and yield their lives to Him in service.
  • Pray for fruitful ministries for national pastors. Ask God to continue to ground them in His Word.
  • Pray for the development of national leadership and the transition of the Lafiete church to national control within the next few years.
  • Ask God to help Andy and Andrea continue their progress in the Portuguese language.
